The museum houses a collection of artifacts from Cumberland Island and is open and free to the public. The collection covers the timeline and people of the island. The lives of Native Americans, African Americans, the Stafford's and the Carnegie family, as well as others who lived on the island in the 19th and 20th centuries. An exhibit room on The War of 1812, the "Forgotten Invasion," is a highlight.

Visitors to Fort Morris State Historic Site can the hear whispers of the past as they gaze into the panoramic vista of the coastal environment while traversing the well preserved original earthworks that served as a bastion of liberty and defiance while defending the commercial seaport of Sunbury and the strategic Medway River during the American Revolution and War of 1812.

The 3d Infantry Division Museum will feature more than 14,000 square feet of space. Exhibits include an interactive gallery featuring the origins of Camp Stewart with its progression to Fort Stewart, a gallery presenting the history of the 3d Infantry Division, and portraits highlighting unit histories. Future expansion includes an Airfields and Aviation gallery, expansion of the 3ID gallery, and a display featuring military vehicles from the past.

The Gwinnett Veterans Memorial Museum is a tribute to all brave men and women who have defended our land and liberties from the Revolutionary War to the present, including the War of 1812, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf Wars, and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Heritage Park Veterans Museum is dedicated to all veterans and their families and to those that serve now. Our primary objective is to keep the memories alive of our brothers and sisters in arms who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. The museum is full of vehicles, uniforms, and artifacts, a lasting display of the two Henry County Medal of Honor recipients, and a Henry County Fallen Hero area.

The Museum of Aviation is situated on 51 acres next to Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. The facility includes four large exhibit buildings which house some of the 85 historic U.S. Air Force aircraft, missiles, cockpits and award-winning exhibits. The Museum of Aviation is home to the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame located on the second floor of the Century of Flight Hangar.

Old Fort Jackson is a must-see National Historic Landmark offering daily cannon firings and exciting interactive programs for adults, kids and families! Only minutes away from historic downtown Savannah, you can experience unique views of Savannah's riverfront and walk on the grounds of one of the oldest brick fortifications on the East Coast.

The St. Marys Submarine Museum is located in historic St. Marys, Georgia. It is the largest museum of its kind in the south, and the fifth largest in the country with nearly 5,000 square feet of space "jam-packed" with exhibits and displays on two floors. The museum is a great place to learn about the "silent service". We are dedicated to educating, preserving and sharing the rich history and legacy of the submarine force and all the men and women who have served and are currently serving our nation.

Walk of Memories is the only memorial of its kind in Georgia, paying tribute to those who served in conflicts, including the Indian War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Washington, D.C. is the home of the original “Wall That Heals”, memorializing the brave U.S. Armed Forces members who gave their lives for our freedoms, fighting in Vietnam. Johns Creek Veterans Association created a new home for the exact 1/2-scale replica of this wall, which has traveled our country, inspiring millions. It is inscribed with the 58,000 plus men and women heroes. This tribute is available to view 24/7.

Located in Historic Downtown Savannah, Webb Military Museum features military artifacts from the American Civil War to Desert Storm. Original uniforms, headgear, and equipment are displayed in a walk-through setting. The museum honors our servicemen from all wars and branches. Many of the displays contain named groupings of servicemen highlighting their stories of service. A visit to Webb Military Museum will certainly bring back one’s love of history and the realization of how much we owe to our men and women in uniform.

As a partner in the Georgia World War II Heritage Trail, the World War II Flight Training Museum and its history of the 63rd AAF Flying Training Detachment provide an example of how organizations throughout Georgia were quickly transformed from civilian to military uses. The first group of aviation cadets arrived at Douglas on Oct. 5, 1941 (before Pearl Harbor) and finished on Dec. 12, 1941, when they went on to further training. The Douglas 63rd AAF Flying Training Detachment helped in the rapid transformation of civilians to air corps personnel, in particular, pilots, navigators and bombardiers, who made a significant contribution to the war effort.
