Access Services

The Access Services Department at the Daniel J. Kaufman Library & Learning Center is the first point of contact for many library patrons. 

  • The Circulation Desk, located just inside the main entrance of the library and to the right, is where patrons can check out books, DVDs, a laptop, an iPad, or other circulating items, pick up materials borrowed through GIL Express or Interlibrary Loan, and submit materials for course reserve. Patrons can also receive information about the library, its collection and services, or about GGC.
  • Three Information Commons spaces, located in the Kaufman Library, the Den (Building A), and Building B, are managed by the Access Services Department.

How do I get the current GALILEO password?

  •  Log in to MyCourses.
  •  Log in to MyGGC.
  •  Stop by the Circulation Desk in the Main Library (Building L), present your current Claw Card, and we will provide it to you.

I think I left my cell phone (or other item) at the library by mistake.  What should I do?​

  • For items lost in the Kaufman Library:
    • ​Check first at the Circulation Desk.
    • All valuables, such as wallets, laptops, cell phones, and Claw Cards, are turned over to Campus Police as soon as possible, and will be taken to Lost & Found in Building D (D-1123).  
    • Other items, such as notebooks, textbooks, and flash drives, are kept until the end of the current day and then turned over to Security personnel to take to Public Safety/Lost & Found in Building D.
  • For items lost in The Den (Building A) or the Building B Information Commons:
    • Check at the appropriate Information Commons Helpdesk.
    • If the item is not there, then check with Lost & Found (D-1123).  
    • All items found or turned in to those spaces are subject to immediate relocation to Lost & Found (D-1123).
  • Other places to check:
