Other Style Types

Chicago is the name of the style often used for published papers. Turabian is the student version of the Chicago Style.

Chicago

The Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) is the venerable, time-tested guide to style, usage, and grammar in an accessible online format. It is the indispensable reference for writers, editors, proofreaders, indexers, copywriters, designers, and publishers, informing the editorial canon with sound, definitive advice (CMOS, 2019).

Turabian Turabian style is the student version of Chicago style. It is generally used for formatting non-published papers. Note the Turabian style Tip Sheets (Turabian, 2019).

American Chemical Society Style 

ACS The ACS Style Guide is the definitive source for all information needed to write, review, submit, and edit scholarly and scientific manuscripts. An established resource for the chemistry community, The ACS Style Guide is not just a resource for ACS authors, but is referenced by other publishers, even beyond chemistry, within their instructions to authors and is used as a resource in teaching students how to effectively communicate scientific information (ACS, 2019).
