Fine Tuning Your Embedded Content

The default titles of the library content added to your D2L course can be changed to better suit your course. You can also change the default description of the content. Below are the two methods for changing the default titles and the process to change the default description.

Editing the default content title - Method 1

With this method, you will edit the title from the page for the embedded content.

  1. Click the down arrow beside the default title of the embedded content to show the drop-down menu. Click Edit Title.

  2. You are now able to edit the title in D2L for the embedded content.

  3. Once you have finished editing the title, you can simply click anywhere outside the box to save your changes.

With this method, you will edit the title from the page for the module where the content is embedded.

  1. Click the down arrow beside the default title of your embedded content. Click Edit Properties In-place.

  2. Click on the default title of the embedded content to highlight it. Edit the title as needed, and then click anywhere outside the title box to save your changes.

Editing Default Content Description

You also have the option to edit the default description for your embedded content.

  1. Click on the text within the default description.

  2. The editing view for the description is now open, and you can make any changes needed. Click Update when finished to save your changes.
