Fines and Fees - Camera Media Equipment

Overdue camera media equipment items (camcorders, digital cameras, microphones, and tripods) are fined $1.00 per item, per day.

Long-overdue ("Lost Status") materials will have lost replacement and processing fees attached to your account. These fees are removed once the items are returned in good condition.  The overdue fines, however, must still be paid.

Fines and fees must be paid by Claw Card or Guest Card.

  • Guest Cards can be purchased for $1.00 at the PHIL Stations in Building B and Building E (Student Center).
  • Patrons can add funds to their Guest Card in $1, $5, $10, or $20 increments.
  • Funds may not be available for 24 hours.
  • The PHIL Stations do not take change or give change.

For laptop and iPad fines and fees, please see the staff at the Circulation Desk (Kaufman Library).

Damaged Items or Items in Lost Status - Media Equipment

    • Requests for Interlibrary Loan materials cannot be honored.
    • You are blocked in BANNER and cannot register for classes, get your grades, obtain a transcript, or be cleared for graduation.

FYI

The loan period for camera media equipment is 7 days with one renewal for an additional 7 days.

The digital video camcorder requires a MiniDV cassette tape to record the video. This item is not stocked in the campus bookstore.

Though the camcorder requires a tape to record the video, it is able to be digitally uploaded to a computer.

Two different FireWire cables are available to borrow so please know which connector your computer requires.

(FACULTY ONLY) For class projects that may require a longer borrowing period or to request that equipment is placed on hold for student use, please contact Catherine Downey at 678-407-5142 or Holly Heitman at 678-407-5159.
